The university has five halls of residence, which include two residences in Glad Field, one in Paranhos, one in Bandeirihina, and one in D. Pedro V. Requests and applications for accommodation in the student halls are processed on a “first-come, first-served” basis by the International Students’ Office (SRI). Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. The SRI also provides information on accommodation in private houses located all over the City. It has an up-to-date database of contacts offering flats, houses, and rooms for rent for student-sharing at student rates.
Students can also get accommodation in a 'family home', which is usually cheaper than sharing a flat with other students. However, more restrictions are enforced in family homes, depending on the host families’ house rules and regulations.
